Change of Plans

Like usual, we have changed our plans. We are headed back to Yangon today/tonight on another one of those lovely overnight 16 hour bus rides. We will stay two nights in Yangon to visit the Shwedagon and do some last minute shopping before heading to Chiang Mai on Sept 24th.

We had a really great time yesterday on our trek. The weather was perfect. Only a few clouds which is very rare in the wet season. We visited two remote villages in the hills and had squash curry and chapatis for lunch at a very nice view point. We ended up walking about 18 KM in all.

This blog has been created by Kevin and Jackie in order to keep in touch with friends and family and to maintain a record of our trip. We have also created this blog as a resource of information and advice for other travelers.

We plan to travel for approximately five months; depending on how long our money lasts and how we feel. We begin our trip in Switzerland followed by southeast Asia and China where we will spend the majority of our time and plan to end our trip in India.
