Making our way across Myanmar

Hello Everyone!
Well we are now safe in Inle Lake. We spent a couple of days in Bagan prior to coming here. We viewed many ruin temples from the 1100-1300's by horse and buggy (the only way to really get around). It was quite spectacular. After, we were a bit templed out and decided to make the long journey to Inle Lake.
The bus ride to Inle Lake was unfortunately the worst transportation we have had on this trip. To top it off I (Jackie) managed to get sick that morning on the bus (and the rest of the day). I am still recovering a bit, but feeling better thanks to the cipero so no worries.
Today has been a low key day exploring the town, canal, and market. Tomorrow we have arranged a boat tour of the lake and surrounding villages which we are looking forward to. Also, we are lucky enough to visit Inle Lake at this time since a big festival will be begining this friday (our last day). Saturday we will be heading back towards Yangon. We may make a stop at Kalaw, a village known for its beautiful treks for two days. We will then finish our trip in Yangon before heading back to Thailand.
We just wanted to keep you updated and let you know we are safe. Despite our misfortunes we are still really enjoyng our time here. We will keep you posted and much as we can.
Jackie
